Ride for a Reason
A ride, not a race. The Salvation Ride offers five beautiful routes: 10, 25, 50, 62.5 and 100 miles. All routes begin at Sheboygan’s King Park and head south along the scenic shores of Lake Michigan. Overall, the roads are smooth and flat with some minor hills along the way.
The Salvation Army
Since 1896, The Salvation Army has been a beacon of help and hope for the hungry, the homeless and the hurting in the Sheboygan area. Now, more than 120 years later, we continue providing critical support for struggling neighbors, offering life-changing services to those in need.
Each year, The Salvation Army serves thousands of men, women and children in the Sheboygan area. In 2019, the Emergency Lodge provided over 10,000 nights of shelter to nearly 300 homeless neighbors, a third of whom were children. The food pantry assists approximately 750 people each month, providing vital food, household and toiletry items. In addition, The Salvation Army offers a variety of other services including utility assistance, youth programs, access to steel-toed work boots, spiritual support, clothing, furniture, and seasonal programs like Coats for Kids and the Christmas Toy Shoppe. But, we can’t do it without help!
While the Salvation Ride is a fun, family-friendly event, it is also so much more. Each mile you ride and every dollar you raise makes life-changing services available to those who need them most. Join us on Saturday, July 11th as we hit the road and RIDE FOR A REASON!
